I have been slacking with my blog post writing, so what better way to get back into it than sharing what August has in store for us and what we are looking forward to. You may of noticed, I totally skipped July as ya know, life got in the way! So without too much waffling here is what August has in store
It’s been a long time coming, although the last term of school was a short term, it felt like it dragged. We were all on the countdown for the last day of school. It arrived and we all breathed a huge sigh of relief! Summer Holidays are officially here. We have a few things planned, but this is the first year I will be juggling work and the holidays. I have managed to get cover for the children. My hours reduce in the holidays so actually its worked out really well. I am looking forward to the much needed slower paced days!
This month sees us go on our holidays. We are away with all of James family which is always really lovely. I cannot wait. We have booked in lots of activities and I may have cheekily booked in a spa session for me and James. We have been counting down for months. Gracie and Henry are very excited, just a few more weeks to get through first! Definitely much needed.
Gracie and I are off to the ballet this month. My mum and her husband are taking us. I have never been so I am really looking forward to it. Gracie has shown a huge interest in dance the past year, and I am excited to show her that it comes in all forms. She is definitely coming into her own when it comes to dance. I am hoping she enjoys it! Its Matthew Bournes Romeo & Juliet, so excited to watch it.
I am so thankful for a pretty understanding boss. I started working last year and managed to bag myself a job in-between school. This year, I was asked to work more hours, which I agreed to but on the condition that I reverted back to my original contractual hours in the school holidays as I just didn’t have the childcare to cover longer hours when they are off school. Luckily for me, my boss agreed. So for the next 5 weeks I have reduced my hours and its lovely! Its only 2 hours less a day than normal, but makes such a difference! Going to be a massive shock come September when I revert back!
