hello october

Hello October! Wow, we are fast approaching the end of the year! 10 months in and I can’t quite believe where the time has gone. Autumn has well and truly arrived. My second favourite season. We have a few things planned for the coming month so without further ado, here is what October has planned for us.

Birthdays

It’s James birthday this month, actually it’s today and we have a day together. I’ve managed to book the day off and whilst Gracie and Henry are at school we are heading into London. We will be back for end of day pick up but it will be nice to spend some quality time together.

School Applications

I spent the month of September looking round senator schools. It was tedious And something I’m glad is over. This month I need to put forward my choices. It needs to be done by the end of October. I think the choices we have made are the right choices. Gracie is pleased with both 1st and 2nd so hopefully we get the outcome we want.

Half Term

I know we have only been back a few weeks but October brings half term. I feel like September was a pretty full on month and I’ve found myself counting down the weeks to half term. I’m pining first the slower paced days. The first term is always the worst for me when the new school year starts. I always feel like I’m juggling everything and finding myself fighting the routine. Hopefully after the half term I will be more settled and so will Gracie and Henry.

Autumn

My second favourite season. I adore autumn. It’s an excuse to wear thicker, warmer jumpers and an even bigger excuse to light the candles. One of my favourite things to do is to light the fire on those chillier evenings, have the candles glowing and snuggle down to see decent autumn TV!
