little loves 2019 | april edition

It’s the end of the month and Its Fri-yay {or Saturday, in this case!}, which means a Little Loves round up.

You may of noticed a big change this month. If you’ve come over from Mummy Hearts You then you will definitely have noticed! April was the month I decided to let go of my old blog and start a band new one. I was toying with the idea for months and I think I just needed that push. To cut a long story short, I started to worry about just how much I was sharing about Gracie and Henry. So I decided to privatise mummy hearts you and start afresh.

Sincerely Anna, is just a lifestyle blog, with some health and beauty thrown in for good measures. I am dedicated to Little Loves so was adamant I would bring that over. I really hope you like it and continue to follow me!

April has been beautiful. The weather has made it all the better. Easter weekend was glorious and we are now typically back to weather which is predicted of April! Without too much waffling here is what I have loved this month..

READ

I have not picked up one book. Shameful! I just have not had the time. I have a list of books I want to get, you never know, this month might be the month I actually pick one up!

Watched

So much good TV this month! I think its all down to one programme that has had everyone hooked on a Sunday evening!!

Line of Duty {BBC} – I have no words for this. It’s bloody brilliant and I am sent into shock every single episode. Its definitely a must watch. They currently have series 1-4 on Netflix so good opportunity to catch up if you need to!

Quick Sand {Netflix} – I started this program and was a bit annoyed that the dubbing was off, I persisted with it but then realised that actually it was dubbed over Swedish. I popped on the subtitles and managed to binge watch the whole series within a few days. “After a tragedy at a Stockholm prep school, high school student Maja finds herself on trial for murder” Its a really good watch and had me wanting more each episode.

The Victim {BBC} –  Another BBC program that had me hooked was The Victim. Spread over 4 consecutive nights. A mother seeks the whereabouts of her son’s killer after he is released from prison, unleashing a series of events that surface tragic memories and unexpected consequences. It was really very good and I jumped out of my seat in the last episode. Wasn’t expecting the result at all!

HEARD

Someone You Loved – There is always one song a year that results with me sobbing. This is the one. It’s beautiful. The video is heartbreaking. But one I can’t stop playing. Never heard of Lewis Capaldi but he is definitely one I will be listening to more of.

Mr Brightside – Who doesn’t love a bit of The Killers? Definitely took me back a few years when I heard this on the radio this month.

Walk Me Home – This women comes back time and time again with something magical. Pink is such a talented singer. This has been playing non-stop on the radio this month so its no surprise its been playing in my head.

WORE

Sandals – Hoorah! As I said before, the Easter bank holiday was glorious and the sandals were out! I am fed up of wearing boots so it was a nice change. The weather has changed quite dramatically and I really don’t want to have to get the boots back out! Anyone else with me?

MADE

Garden Plans – We made some drastic plans for our garden. When we moved in 5 years ago it was the first thing we demolished. We put a play area in, grass, patio and some flowerbeds. Over the years we have come to realise that the grass simply hasn’t taken and its very patchy. We spend so much money on grass feeder and seeds. We reluctantly decided to give in and we are now going to lay Astro Turf. Its a small space so it will work so much better. As well as that we decided to raise the flower beds and fence off one side rather than brick. Its already started and already looking so much better.

Chocolate Swirl Cake – It didn’t stay around for long for me to take any pictures, but it was pretty delicious.

More Hours – This month saw a big change to my working life. I decided to up my hours. Still within school times which I am really thankful for. The first few weeks were a bit of a shock if I am honest. I felt like I didnt actually get anything at home done. I have managed to get a routine going and 4 weeks in its going really well.

It’s been so lovely to wear sandals although I’m back in fluffy slippers and a chunky cardigan today. I love your new blog name and logo – so nice to have a change.

Oh I love your new name and logo, it looks fab! I need to refresh my logo a bit although I have been saying this for years now! So so good to be sandals and no coats – the sunshine was so welcome. Mr Brightside is one of my favourite songs, always guaranteed to get me dancing. #littleloves

I love your new-look blog and in particular, the name. It’s a bold move to step away from mummy blogging but once I did, I felt immediately at peace about it and I hope that you do too. I’ve not watched The Victim but it’s one on my list. I’m looking forward to getting my sandals back out of the cupboard sooner rather than later!

Love the new blog and your pictures are beautiful. I think we are the only people in the UK not to have watched Line of Duty. I didn’t know it was also on Netflix so I think we need to give it a go. You can only listen to Mr Brightside on full volume I find, what a great song. Hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend x
