Hello and welcome back to a new little loves round-up!

WOW April was a very long month. It felt like the month just went on and on. I’ll be glad to see the back of April as it was a huge roller coaster of a ride. At the beginning I was made redundant which left me in turmoil as I was so happy working for the company I was in. By the end of April I was offered my job back doing what I was doing. I managed to successfully pass the interview and they asked me to go back to replace someone who was leaving which was pretty good news!

Without too much waffling, here is my Little Loves for April

Lots and lots of Job adverts. In the space of a week that I was officially unemployed for I went through jobs sites daily and every ad wet seemed to mould into one. It was pretty stressful in the end, especially as the hours I needed were so particular. It all worked out in the end though!

Great British Sewing Bee (BBC) – I love a craft programs this is such a good watch. I enjoy watching how the contestants create clothes out of other unused items. I also find Joe Lycett really funny and he is great at presenting this.

Glow Up (BBC THREE) – I was gutted to hear Stacey Dooley had been replaced as I loved her in this particular show. It’s basically a make up artist competition and the creations are just mind blowing. An easy watch whilst working.

Sons of Anarchy (Netflix) – We have been watching this of an evening. I tried watching it years ago but couldn’t get into it, but second time round I am really enjoying it. We are just starting season 5 and it’s just been left on a cliff hanger so I am eager to continue watching.

I treated myself to some new clothes. Even though I had found out I was out of work but Gracie and Henry were also in need of some. I also splurged and got some Vans which I am totally in love with. They have not left my feet! So comfy and worth every penny.

I wore a new style. I have always had a side parting but I decided to break the trend of that and go to a middle parting with curtain bangs. I’m loving it and can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner!

Birds – anyone else enjoying being woken to the sound of the birds chirping!? It has to be the nicest way to be woken up!

Laughter – I heard my baby nephew laugh, and it was the sweetest sound. He is now 4 and a half months and he is just a perfect bundle of happiness. Cannot wait to spend more time with him.

I have continued with my crochet and have added and extra two colours which I think work really well. I am excited to add more, every spare minute I am crocheting. Definitely have the bug again.

I also decided to make a crochet wreath. I was pretty impressed with the outcome and promptly put it up on Etsy after lots of lovely comments. I’ll make some more I think and start a little sideline of crochet wreaths.

Lastly I dabbled in making some resin keyrings. Again I thought it would be good to make and maybe go to some craft fairs if and when it starts to open up again!

I’ve made the extra effort to leave a little bit earlier of a morning to get some fresh air before I drop Henry at school. I pack the dog in the car and Henry and I take her for a walk around the playing field next to the school. I meet a friend as well so we get to have a grown up conversation! It works really well because she is so tired when we get home she is quiet all day so I can get on with work!
