Hello December! It’s been a whirlwind month and we are at the end of Little Loves for 2021!
December was a strange month full of what ifs and is it going to happen. We managed to celebrate with family by the skin of our teeth due to a positive case in the household, luckily it was just Henry and no one else got it. He came out of isolation just before Christmas. The 10 days prior was a tad worrying, testing daily but luckily we came out the other side. Thankfully he seemed to have it mildly and didn’t suffer too badly with it.
I managed to get my booster vaccine in just before Christmas and it left me really poorly. Luckily it was only two days of feeling really I’ll, but I was starting to panic it was actually the virus considering it was inside the house. Luckily it was just the after effect and I was feeling so much better after a few days. I am tripled vaccinated now and although I am still not immune, I feel better knowing the vaccine will help if I was to get it.
Without too much waffling here are my Little Loves for December.
Emily in Paris (Netflix) – This brightened up my Christmas TV watching. I binged the first season in one sitting last year so I spread season 2 over a few days. I really enjoyed it and it was left on a cliff hanger so who knows what Emily will bring to season 3 (I really hope there is a season 3)
Mistresses (Disney+) – This is poor, but watchable. I like to have something easy going on in the background whilst I work, so this was ideal. It was the American version. It’s was ok but nothing to shout about.
Desperate Housewives (Disney+) – I used to love this programme and I’ve come to realise I never fully completed it. So because I like to have something in whilst working I thought this was ideal. I am on season 2 and I’m enjoying it. It’s typical American cheese.
The unforgivable (Netflix) – This was brilliant. If you have not watched it it’s a must! I really enjoyed it. I guessed what was going to happen half way through but it didn’t ruin it for me. Sandra Bullock is amazing in it!
Spider-Man (Homecoming / Far From Home) – We wanted to see the new Spider-Man film before Christmas but because Henry was isolating we have had to wait. I have booked the family to see it on Monday and after watching the first two I am excited to see it. I managed to watch both back to back and cannot quite believe it’s taken me this long to watch them. Tom Holland makes a very good Spider-Man!
My mum and her husband bought me a record player for Christmas. I asked for it, so I was expecting it. It now means I’m slightly obsessed with Vinyl. I will only purchase albums I really love. So without further ado, I just had to put Taylor Swift down as a must on my Christmas list. I was lucky enough to get Red (Taylor’s Version), Folklore and Evermore. I just need to take my decorations down so I can pop it in it’s future home. I’ve been listening to it whilst cooking dinner. Vinyl sounds amazing.
Christmas Jumpers – I bought a new Christmas jumper this year. I like to get involved! It was super soft material but after one wash it went a bit funny! Just glad it’s not an all year round thing!
Ankle Welly Boots – I put these in my Christmas list and was shocked to open them up Christmas morning. They are ideal for my early morning dog walks. They are fur lined as well so keep my toes super cosy!
My next crochet project was in the form of a cute rainbow. I was really impressed how quickly it came together and I was happy with the end result! I find crochet so therapeutic. If ever I am having a tough day I just hook away. I am really enjoying trying different crochet designs. I didn’t think I was capable of making anything other than a blanket, but YouTube is brilliant for tutorials!
I am still in the midst of all the naughty Christmas food. We went a little overboard with the chocolates and I am certain it will last till at least Easter! I managed to get my hands on the Cath Kidston Cadburys tin, it’s so lovely and I adore the vintage look.
One final little thing from me, I would just like to say a massive thank you for linking up. I have been very slack with the blog and I always want to try harder. As we head into 2022 I am hoping I will be more present in the blogosphere. I cannot wait to share with you more Little Loves throughout the next year! So from me to you, I hope you have a wonderful new year!
Hope you have a wonderful January!
