Hello and welcome back to a new little loves round-up!
Well, we end February on good news. Schools are set to return after spending the first term of the year homeschooling. I will be honest, its been hard and although I am slightly nervous and worried, I am so glad that we seem to have some kind of light at the end of a very dark tunnel. How is everyone else feeling?
February was such a lovely month though. We waited with bated breath for a snowfall. We watched the UK around us spend time outdoors, sledging, building snowmen and wishing that we would wake to a blanket of snow. It did eventually arrive and we had a lovely week where we were out in the dressing cold spending time as a family. It was lovely.
Without too much waffling here are my Little Loves of February.
I started a book!! I’m slowly making my way through it, but at least I started one. I picked up Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce from my pile of books and at the moment I am really enjoying it. I have most definitely slowed down whilst reading. It seems to take me ages to settle into a good book. This one has had me hooked though.
Its a Sin (C4) – This was utterly brilliant and so very sad. I bawled my eyes out on several occasions whilst watching. It was heartbreaking and I think all the actors were amazing throughout. Definitely watch it if you haven’t already. I am sure its still on catch up.
Firefly Lane (Netflix) – I binged watched this over one and a half days. Not ashamed to admit it either. It was so so good and its been left wide open with so many cliff hangers for a second season. I love Katherine Heigl from her Grey’s Anatomy days.
Framing Britney Spears (Sky) – I grew up LOVING Britney. She was the girl everyone wanted to be when I was younger and her public downfall was really hard to watch. This documentary made me so angry at the system at how someone can be controlled in such a manner. Definitely made me feel even more sorry for her andI really hope she gets back her control.
To All the Boys (Netflix) – There are 3 films within this title. Its a bit of a chicklit/teen film, but one I couldn’t help but watch. I got sucked into the characters really easily and felt I needed to watch all three. I am glad I did, it was a good watch. It would be interesting to see if they do a 4th of the young lovers when they are older.
Wooly hats and scarves. It was so cold throughout February, it was a must to wear the winter gear. I mistakenly went out in ripped jeans one day when I walked the dog and instantly regretted it. I’m so glad the warmer weather is in sight.
I’ve been making the most of not going out and wearing loungewear wherever possible. I think I went a week where I just kept rotating Pyjamas! Before lockdown I wouldn’t ever have dreamed of it!
I have been really enjoying my Apple Music subscription and have been making the most of it whilst working. 2 songs I have been listening to a lot are, Justin Bieber – Anyone and Olivia Rodrigo – Drivers License. I am still very much loving Taylor Swift!
Snowmen! We made snowmen this month. We didn’t have loads of snow, so they were pretty small, but it still counts right?
I started a new hobby this month and purchased a cross stitch! I’ve wanted something to fill my time at the weekends/evenings. It reminds me of my childhood as I always used to love seeing a design come to life. I haven’t got very far, but I will give 3 guess as to what the cross stitch is!
With news that lockdown could potentially be over with after 21st June is so very exciting, but I am still so cautious not to ruin it over the next few months. We still have to stick with the rules and enter this with caution. If we do then hopefully in a fw months time we can be sitting next to our loved ones! Heres hoping anyway!
