LIFESTYLE LITTLE LOVES

LITTLE LOVES 2021 | JANUARY EDITION

January 29, 2021

Hello and welcome back to a new little loves round-up!

The first little loves of the year! And what a first month it’s been. Back in a national lockdown and nowhere to go! Deep down, I half expected it, but I was dreading those fateful words coming out of the PM’s mouth when we sat watching his speech way back in December. I cannot see it being lifted anytime soon. We are safe and well and doing what we can to protect the ones we love. I just so desperately want to see them now, its been so so long. It feels like it’s been such a long time ago we all last saw each other.

Without too much waffling, here is my Little Loves for January

Read

My news year resolution was to read more this year and its not started off to well. I did pick up Mrs Hinch but I wouldn’t necessarily call that a book as such. I bought it just after Christmas I was really intrigued by her sudden “stardom” and wanted to know why everyone was so affected by the “The Hinch effect”

Watched

Emily In Paris – I finally took on everyones advice on Insatgram and binged watch this in a matter of days. It wasn’t what I was expecting and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Really looking forward to season 2 – Whenever that may be!

Keeping up with the Kardashians – I am still steaming through all seasons of KUWTK and although its not everyones cup of tea and they are pretty annoying at times I am really enjoying the later seasons. Don’t judge me.

Bridgerton – Another series on Netflix which I succumbed to because of Instagram. This really isn’t my normal watch, but I was hooked from episode one and would highly recommend to anyone that has not watched it. I fell completely in love with the script. Was a tad racy mind! I am just gutted that season two will be a long way off! I am missing the social gatherings already.

Wore

Nothing to shout about this month. I think I have even up on actually getting dressed. Comfy joggers and t-shirts have been my staple this month. Lockdown, working from home and homeschooling has proved to me thats totally acceptable

I did however wear my new necklace this month. As a leaving gift from my old work place my friends bought me the most loveliest and well thought after gift. I adore it. They used to call me A-M for short and obviously I love flamingo!

Heard

New year, means a new sign up. I decided to take up the 3 month free trial for Apple Music to see how I like it. So far I am loving it. I tend listen to music whilst cooking dinner, stick my headphones on and away I go. It’s a kind of release for me. Anyone walking past the house I am sure has a few laughs of me dancing round the kitchen, but it distresses me!

A bit of hope that came out of 2020 was I became an auntie again. It’s been so tough not being able to see my sister, but I call her all the time and she sends me photos. I cannot wait to have baby snuggles with him, although I don’t think he will be a baby when I do eventually see him! Was a perfect way to end 2020.

Made

I am going to be totally honest, I hate with a passion cooking a roast dinner. Before lockdown last year, I don’t think I had atually cooked one in years. We would visit the in-laws on a Sunday and stay for dinner so I didn’t feel the need to. Since Christmas I have been cooking one every Sunday. I am terrible at getting meat right, it either comes out really tough or under done. I have been cooking lamb the past few weeks and I think *touches wood* I have mastered it. Although, I need some ideas for leftover meals for lamb, so any suggestions would be welcome! I hate wasting food, but I never know what to cook with left overs.

Lastly

I’ve been such a terrible blogger the past year. I don’t think I blogged properly throughout the whole year. I’d had so many plans heading into 2020 but they all went out the window. I find it so therapeutic and such an escapism. The only posts I put up last year were my Little Loves post and I was so tempted to just give up, I don’t want to though, so I have scheduled a few post to go up over the coming weeks. Some have already gone live, so do take a read if you have a spare 5 minutes.

I really do hope you are all safe and well, thank you to those that link up still and have stayed with me. I’ve promised myself to be better! I just need to work on my scheduling a whole lot better!

I’ve not been the best blogger this past year either – lockdown hasn’t really been all that inspiring ! I am also living in comfy clothes too – it’s just how it is 🙂
