Many moons ago, when I blogged under a different name I used to link up every week with The Ordinary Moments. I’ve not linked up in so long it has actually changed from one blogger to another. It’s now hosted by Donna, over at What the Redhead Said. The Ordinary Moments is a weekly feature where you share all the ordinary parts of your lives. It can be anything from documenting the children’s milestones, days out, holidays and so much more in between.

This year I aim to blog more. I have always struggled with consistency when it comes to blog writing and I feel for me to be consistent I need to have regular posts to stick to. The ordinary moments is a perfect way to have consistency.

My blog, is an outlet for me and its taken a pretty hefty beating this last year. I started full time work and I neglected it. I struggled to work, be a parent, be a wife and blog. Sounds pathetic but it just didn’t work. So I pushed it to one side and only blogged once a month at the most. I have already said in my goals for 2020 I want to put my heart and soul back into blogging.

With a regular post it can work. I already have lots of ideas for posts in between, but a post like The Ordinary Moments, will make me sit down and reflect on the week, to pick out that ordinary moment and write about it. I think they will also be really lovely posts to look back on at the end of the year. Hopefully 52 posts to read and remember.

I’m not going to promise I can keep up with it weekly, but I really want to try. I would love it if you joined me and the fellow bloggers who link up. I’m looking forward to joining in weekly and hopefully its the push I need to get back into a blogging routine.

Last year I really struggled with blogging, I lost a lot of my motivation to write due to having quite a tough year. Here’s to us both being able to write more ♥ Happy New Year!

Thank you, I used to join in years ago, but got out of the habit of posting weekly. Hopefully I can stick to it this year.

It’s good to have a goal to aspire to. I hope to capture many more ordinary moments this year too.

So lovely to have you back! It always makes me happy when people remember the Ordinary Moments from way back when Katie hosted. It feels like I’ve been joining in, or hosting, for years. For me the Ordinary Moments has been just what you explained – regular posts to keep the momentum going, to always give me something to write about and a reason to write. I look forward to reading your posts through the year and completely understand if you don’t link up every week, sometimes life definitely gets in the way! x
