Hello and welcome back to a new little loves round-up!
The months seem to be flying by. We are already at the end of October, which seems uncanny. I feel like I am willing the year away, 2020 has most definitely been a strange one but I can’t see 2021 being anything better than what we are already experiencing. Funny ole world we are currently living in.
Without too much waffling, here is my Little Loves for October
Another month and another book not read. I had every intention of starting The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell but I just didn’t have the inclination to pick it up. Now the nights are getting a little gloomier it means cosier nights so I am hoping November is the month I pick up a book!
Ambulance (BBC) – This programme gets me every week. I end up crying at least once through each episode. This week did the opposite and made me really cross. Can’t believe people still get a kick out of hoax calls!
Married at First Sight (C4) – It’s back! Weirdly I love this program. I find it fascinating that people would want to take part. I’m rooting for one of the couples, not 100% sure the other couple will work out there issues. I worry the impact it has on the people that take part. Must be a mixture of emotions!
Honor (ITV) – This was a huge eye opener for me. I vaguely remember the news story when it happened but I found this Televised adaption absolutely heart breaking. So so sad.
Alex Jeans – I absolutely hate buying new jeans. I wear mine until there threadbare. It was time I bought some new ones. I ended up buying two of the same, I tend to stick to the same brand. I’ve finally found the perfect pair from Dorothy Perkins, the Alex Jean. Perfect fit, perfect length for my rather short legs!
Masks – it’s become the norm to wear masks wherever you go. It’s funny that this time last year you would never have thought you’d have to carry a face mask around with you wherever you went. I’m still being cut short every now and then, forgetting to take one out. I find I have a stash in so many different places now. The car, handbag, work bag, coat pockets
Justin Bieber – Holy is Justin’s new single. I heard it once in the radio this month and instantly loved it. He has mellowed a lot as he has got older and I kind of like it. Definitely think he has found his groove.
This month saw James celebrated a birthday. It’s become tradition I make a cake not only for the children’s birthday but for James too. I ended up making it to look like Captain America’s shield as Henry thought he would like it. Was pretty impressed at how well it came out! No photos, because I completely forgot!
We are currently on half term. Henry has just finished two weeks and Gracie still has one week left. It’s been so nice to just relax and not have the worry of having to go out. We have quite a few local lockdowns surrounding us so I’ve sort of taken it upon myself to stay indoors. We have managed to get out with the dog daily which has been lovely. I just cannot wait for things to get back to normal, whatever normal is now!
